Wayne and I have both looked at this. It appears to be related to the
WATTCP code and how it relates to the lynx code. I have tried to fix
FTP and have not been able to. I think that Wayne has this on his list
of things to look at (low priority).

I have used it as a telnet client from a shell. I have been using CUTCP
as an automated telnet (i.e. when activating a "telnet://" URL). I don't
think that there should be a problem using mskermit as long as 1) you
don't use dosppp's epppd.exe for your ppp program (pppd.exe works fine)
and 2) you set up a batch file to parse the URL and make sure that
mskermit gets the commands: set tcp host "telnet_address", set port
tcp, c (where "telnet_address" is the address part of the URL). When
you connect you need to modifiy your mykermit.ini file to show your IP
address, in addition to setting this in WATTCP.CFG. This can usually be
done with sed and a batch file. Bootp doesn't work with pppd.exe, and as
mentioned above, epppd.exe doesn't work with mskermit.
