What I did was started from scratch again. I killed the directory the
source was in and unarchived it once again. I seemingly had to since
"-lslang" and the others were somehow gone. *shurgs* I don't know how
that happened. 

I was also getting a lot of errors in LYMain.c before I started fresh. I
don't know how those happened either. Needless to say once I started
from scratch, I made all the necessary links in the configure script and
this time around, it worked in one shot!! 

The only error I got was that "WARNING: No Suffix List". That's no
biggie. 

Thanks for all the help and I'll say that the autoconf is leaps and
bounds easier than the hours of manual hacking I had to do with 2.6 and
previous!
