Gak!  Look again:
rm -f WWW/Library/Implementation/HTWriter.c
rm -f WWW/Library/Implementation/HTWriter.h

That's HTWriter, not HTFWriter.

But since it compiled for you, I'll look at HTFWriter, but I'm pretty 
sure it's not dead code.
