I agree, more tips & trics and showoff of monit would be good. I'm
cleaning it up right now, and I will check it in later this evening.
Please, check it out afterwards and add new stuff or suggest stuff and

Sure, but I'm not sure how you can implement it, since a checksum,
depending on context, should 1) only send an alert and keep on
monitoring or 2) not monitor anymore. I strongly think the current
behavior, that is 1) is the best solution. But if you somehow manage
to iron this out better it would be interesting to see how :)

Well, we could release a beta this week (when the doc. is ready) to
the monit-general list¹ and if all goes well release monit 4.0 next
week?


¹Previous beta releases to monit-general was not a sucess (0 user
downloads), but we could try again.
