I've compiled boost by hand following the instructions and
it worked fine. Installing packages from Darwinports was
easier in general though.

Yeah, these are fixed in 0.16.

I've sent Graydon a monotone 0.16 binary (statically linked
except for system libs) which is now on the monotone
website. Unfortunately Apple's gcc seems to require
incredible amounts of memory compiling cryptopp (400 megs
resident size from 'top').
