Wouldn't it be possible to add to a converted DB certs keeping general
conversion info, like mtn:0.24-revision with the original revision ?
Or is there a technical reason that this is impossible or difficult ?
A similar mechanism can be used when converting other repositories to
mtn repositories ?

Do "monotone certs ef736222cb8bd5af85eb593d850cb17872dabfc8" on the
old database, and use the values to construct a selector, which you
can then use on the new database.

(Probably it'll be more than sufficient to use the branch, author, and
date.)
