Sure, it would be great to have BE support monotone!

If you have questions, just go ahead and ask - a couple of people (me
included) have added monotone support in third party tools in the past.
I think Thomas Moschny could also pinpoint you to some code in
TracMonotone and mtn-view, which are both written in Python as well.

Maybe it would also be a good idea to go for some common component /
library which could afterwards be used for all three packages...?
