I had a job setup to periodically backup a directory - everything worked fine for at least two weeks, but then it started having problems (see below).

The rdiff-backup binary seems to work with other directories on the same system, but fails on the corporate records directory. This may be a bug related to either the number of files in this directory or perhaps the size of certain files.

The bug is due to a required dependency that was not mentioned on the webpage or in the readme. Sorry!

The bug was triggered because the previous run of rdiff-backup was possibly interrupted prematurely. Before resuming, rdiff-backup was trying to make sure that the previous backup session had closed and was not still running.

ImportError: No module named win32api

You need to install the Python for Windows extensions:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/pywin32/

or direct download page:
http://sourceforge.net/project/platformdownload.php?group_id=78018

I will add a note about installing those extensions to the website.

thanks,
Andrew
