That sounds quite reasonable to me.  Depending on the time frame this
is going to take to get through the channels, I'd be willing to
postpone 11.82 for a few weeks (I think most improvements were
actually in the build area, anyway) to give a reasonable chance for
feedback, so that we have a good chance that 11.82 proper will work
out of the box on XEmacs.
