Well this is something I don't really understand, because when I first did
the new usleep() delay code it appeared to take about 12 sec to write my
code and writing took longer than reading/verifying.

However today it takes about 6-7 seconds and fails every once in a while. I
just don't understand it myself as I don't think I have changed anything to
explain this...

In an attempt to resolve it I have even added the code from uisp that polls
the the Pentium performance counter to do the timing, but that doesn't seem
to make any difference.

I'm writing and verifying 6656 bytes to a Mega8.

Anyone got a gut feeling how long it should take to program?

Would it be closer to 6-7 or 11-12 seconds?

Cheers

Alex
