I'm still wondering _why_ gtk people didn't provide an simple way for such

No idea :-(
I don't know... Never used it. Yattm's website is not as nice ;)
But Yattm's website is much more lightweight :-)
Which is anyway the stupidest thing I ever saw. Who wants a registry
instead of plaintext files ?
Well, gconf uses XML, so it's OK for me. Moreover having a tree
structure with directories and small files makes it better than the
Windows registry (NDT: base de registre ;)). The problem is that each
key should be documented, and that's not the case...
Wow - there weren't all these IM-projects when I started needing an msn
client :)
And you start a new one !? :-) Anyway, good luck for you project ! :)
What about a XUL interface ? :-))
Nooo, everything but that :-)))
Well, now I have an Athlon XP 1800 I find Mozilla fast enough. :-)
Moreover there's a gtk2 port. :-D
