Dear John and Ben,

Sorry for my late reply. Please do not understand this as a lack of interest our appreciation on my behalf.

The file was delivered to my by the call-center that did the interviews. They create the days in a program called Voxco. I have no idea how it then becomes a spss file (directly from Voxco our imported from some format into spss). They use spss version 19, as do we, so all processing since creation has Ben done in that.

I hope you can find a solution. I'm prepared to give all information you need and try a few things out.

Pspp is a great help and allows me to do some unpaid work for family and friends and allows me to work at home every now and then.

Regards,
Hendrik

Hmm.  Some searching around shows this page:
       http://deni.ibs.ac.id/~deni/source/SPSS17/SPSS%20Statistics/developer/IO_Module/spssdiocodes.h
which implies that this is "TextSmart data".  But I don't know
anything about TextSmart.
