I ignored the warning indeed and did not get any unrealistic results - no problems in the statistics department.
I use Windows 7, on two Sony laptops. The warning comes on both, but while the one crashes, the other has only pspp freezing. There's also a MacBook in use here, but I haven't succeeded in installing pspp on that one (if you could point me to a decent installer, I'd be more than happy to give it another try and see if this file gives hiccups on the Mac too).
