What are you talking about? There is no -overrideLinegap option.Sorry, I meant -overrideLineGap .
Oh, I found it. It needs to be documented! I did really do a case-insensitive search in the manual before asking.
But anyway if you explicitly give a value for the linegap, why should you need to tell that you mean it once more?
Besides if the developers have special demands to the translations it should be communicated to the translatirs with translator comments in the source. Translators aren't mindreaders. Good point. But I think the German translation asmae by Arun himself, and he hardly needed to read any minds for this.
Well, don't complain too much about the German menubar as long as the default English also is too wide. (try -size Dinky)
Anyway, we could sove it by placing such a demand. The alternative is that the default -clockFont is calculated from the clock width, from the translated text. (Similar to how the default boardSize is calculated from the screen size.) Problem is ho many digits of time to acount for. Should space be reserved for the hours-field?
That is necessay if -tc is 60 minutes or more. But is it really necessary to write the color names in full length. Couldn't W and S do it for the Germans when the space is limited? Or maybe use some kind of color marking or symbol instead of words?
