Couldn't menubar be made such that the text box for each menu title have a limited size, rather than shortening the titles themselves.OK, I pushed a change that does this to hgm.nubati.net. It looks as reasonable as you could expect. In any case _much_ preferable over the menu bar stretching out the window.
I tested it and it is an improvement in most cases. I have 2 concerns:1) It may be necessary to have a minimum width, so small texts will not show less an a letter. Modus in German in size -tiny is close to show less than an M. It could be worse in other languages.
2) When you have enough space the menu buttons will be enlarged to fill the whole width of the window. That breaks the -titleInWindow option.
A possible solution might be to create the buttons first without width speficication, then messaure if they are too wide and make the widest buttons narrower.
