Hi list!
System : Sun Ultra5 OpenBSD/sparc64
chicken: 4.8.0rc1

gmake check fails on multiple tests (namely compiler-inlines)
with:
 [panic] `##sys#error-hook' is not defined - the `library' unit was probably
not linked with this executable - execution terminated

then tried removing tests/test-repository
and rerun tests.
the second time it goes up to specialization and fails with:

======================================== specialization benchmark ...
../chicken fft.scm -output-file fft1.c -verbose -include-path ..
-optimize-level 2 -local -debug-level 0 -disable-interrupts -block
gcc fft1.c -o fft1.o -c  -fno-strict-aliasing -DHAVE_CHICKEN_CONFIG_H
-DC_ENABLE_PTABLES -Os -fomit-frame-pointer -I..
-I"/tmp/chicken/include/chicken"
rm fft1.c
gcc fft1.o -o fft1 -L.. -L"/tmp/chicken/lib"  -Wl,-R"/tmp/chicken/lib"
-lchicken -lm -lpthread
../libchicken.so: warning: strcpy() is almost always misused, please use
strlcpy()
../libchicken.so: warning: strcat() is almost always misused, please use
strlcat()
../libchicken.so: warning: sprintf() is often misused, please use snprintf()
rm fft1.o
../chicken fft.scm -output-file fft2.c -verbose -include-path ..
-optimize-level 2 -local -specialize -debug x -debug-level 0
-disable-interrupts -block -specialize
[panic] `##sys#error-hook' is not defined - the `library' unit was probably not
linked with this executable - execution terminated

Error: shell command terminated with non-zero exit status 256: ../chicken
fft.scm -output-file fft2.c -verbose -include-path .. -optimize-level 2 -local

gmake[1]: *** [check] Error 1
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/home/dsp/chicken-4.8.0rc1'
gmake: *** [check] Error 2

I would say that the box is a suspect for faulty RAM but i reproduced it
with the exact same way 3 times.

limits are default, the user is on group staff so they are raised.
shell is default ksh

attached dmesg

cheers
