"chicken-version" returns this string, where the 4rd number already has a 
different
meaning. So I would not throw this together with the exissting meaning of 
MAJOR.MINOR.

I would suggest a separate method of accessing the binary version, and only 
that, as
it is internal information, ditinct from the "official" version (+ patchlevel).
