I recently ran apt-get update as usual but one day,
all the pgsql backend stuffs started to make troubles.

Hence I completely removed sourceforge and pgsql and tried
to install them again from the beginning but it seems that
the postgresql got some bugs.

I could not even install the postgresql correctly.

Below are part of the installation process.

------
Setting up postgresql (7.1.3-7) ...
Restarting PostgreSQL database: postmaster
Smart Shutdown request at Fri Apr 12 22:15:20 2002
Stopped /usr/lib/postgresql/bin/postmaster (pid 3688).
Starting PostgreSQL postmaster.
postmaster successfully started
.
Enabling the PL procedural language in all PostgreSQL databases...
peer validation request: pg user=postgres, peer user = postgres, auth_arg =
sameuser
pqReadData() -- backend closed the channel unexpectedly.
This probably means the backend terminated abnormally
before or while processing the request.
connection to server was lost
Server process (pid 3834) exited with status 11 at Fri Apr 12 22:15:34 2002
Terminating any active server processes...
Server processes were terminated at Fri Apr 12 22:15:34 2002
Reinitializing shared memory and semaphores
Cannot select databases
....
------

Can anyone running debian-sf on woody box please let me know
if this only occurs to me due to my misconfiguration or the
pgsql itself has any problem? (please check the version: 7.1.3-7)

Thanks very much.
