Looks very good to me.  Well I haven't looked at the code yet
but from the docs it seems to me that this may be just what
we've been looking for in this area.  And you're using the right
license, too. :-)

I also like your approach of building a quick-and-dirty prototype
and using it to gain some experience, and planning for a rewrite.

BTW is it still true that (as it is mentioned in the readme file)
that you're in need of a server for testing purposes?  If yes
please contact me privately - I might be able to help out in
that area.
