I think I wrote that in the original mono-list mail: PIII 1.1 laptop
with 256 MB of RAM.
I think I got 2m30s or 2m40s and built the interpreter and libmetadata
with -O2 (and without support for debugging and profiling in the interp).
So, on your machine it should take 6 minutes or so.

Well, you too still need windows for your corlib, I guess?
I don't like windows and I just use it remotely using a ssh session:
many people will be relieved once we have a full C# compiler working on
free systems.
