And if you get a largish amount (we can but dream), hire a publicist or hunt
one down that will do something pro-bono. 

It may be a matter of finding someone that is interested and motivated. eg.
A post grad publicist interested in open source and wants to do a case study
on what it takes to raise the profile and branding of a nascent open source
project. 

Unlikely I know. But plausible.
