As long as duplicity compiles and runs (a) without dbus, and (b) with an
installed, but stopped dbus daemon, there is no issue. Otherwise, it
becomes harder to install / run it on some servers (or in an embedded
context). That would be a pity, because duplicity doesn't necessarily
fall into the "desktop utilities" category.
