Sorry to hear you're having problems.

If you have no other backups, then look into undelete for your home
directory.  Unless you've written over the contents, the data may be
recoverable still, even on Linux.

Also, check with your offsite supplier and see if they might have a
backup with a previous set on it.  Sometimes they do.

As reference, I keep two separate backup sets, one remote, and another
set on DVD, also offsite.  If the remote one was compromised, the DVD
set would be within a week or so of being up to date.
