[Duplicity-talk] (Feature Request) inotify integration?

Is it possible to provide duplicity with a list of changed files *without*
having it automatically delete files from the existing backup which are *not*
contained in the list? The reason for the request is that that duplicity's
method of scanning millions of files for changes takes hours compared to only
a few minutes when given a list built via linux's inotify subsystem.
