I'm not sure I understand what you mean Richard. seq.el is maintained
inside Emacs (in lisp/emacs-lisp/seq.el and
test/automated/seq-tests.el). The version published in ELPA is there
for backward-compatibility, and does not have all the features (some
features do require Emacs 25).
