[[[ To any NSA and FBI agents reading my email: please consider ]]]
[[[ whether defending the US Constitution against all enemies, ]]]
[[[ foreign or domestic, requires you to follow Snowden's example. ]]]

In the past I often found it useful to search for same string I
previously searched for, ten insert the same string I previously
inserted. I would type C-s C-s C-y.

Now, to do that, I have to exit the search in some other way. But
how? Nothing pops into my mind. I know that RET exits a search
nowadays, but I have to pose the question mentally to find that answer.

I am more likely to type C-f C-b, or some other no-op editing command.
