AFAIK the code just uses `mouse-movement` events and so it will work
with any device that can be exposed this way.

Is there any reason to think that such a device would not generate
those same `mouse-movement` events?
[ IIUC this is hypothetical since there is currently no hardware that
  works the way you describe and that also runs Emacs.  ]
