No present plans to support Windows. I'm more than happy to, but my
experience/knowledge with supporting Windows is very small, so I'd have
to rely on others supplying me w/ patches. Even if I did find some time
to learn it, I don't have access to a Windows machine w/ IPMI. So I
can't even test anything I try.
sad to hear it, but thanks for letting me know.
I'm not currently able to allocate resources on this, but will keep it in mind.
that said, we should to treat our needs separately:
- NUT uses FreeIPMI (libs easily available on the major target system, Linux) for its nut-ipmi driver (already done).
I've designed this driver to be able to support different backends, so I'm considering the option of also relying on ipmiutils and OpenIPMI.
- Fusion inventory can use the available generic IPMI tools available (Ie, not nut-scanner) through wrappers, or an embedded version.
