Hi Lars,

LD_LIBRARY_PATH and similar configuration (e.g. /etc/ld.so.conf) is
something usually setup by your system automatically.  I'm trying to
figure out what is most commonly "default" on Linux boxes, but can't
find a good answer.  The fact you need to set that is not too
surprising, but I don't know what is normal on Debian.

I can put something in the FAQ about this for future folks.
