I tried this and got the message below.  What should I do?  (Another long
weekend here so you probably won't hear from me for a few days.)

Perhaps you should have used the -p or --strip option?

|   1248 out of 16259 total tests failed:-( 275 less than in CVS ;-) and

|   nor did I found the time to attack the formatter or to get much closer
|   to the final goal of getting CLC/ASDF up and running.

|   anyway - here is a patch ... for 2.7.0 unstable only !

|   - make-pathname, merge-pathname and related (about 50%)
|   - directory (about 90%)
|   - with-standard-io-syntax (about 90%)
