Agreed.  But it could also be handy for people wishing to test out a
new gcl build.  I think ecl and some others have a benchmark subdir
AFAICR.

'creative commons' forbids commercial use, so is not dfsg free.  It is
likely these were circulated separately before the pdf of the book was
posted under more liberal terms, but I do not have time to chase this
down.  I'll try to get a clarifying request out to the author at some
point. 

In general, though, these benchmarks are in need of a size upgrade, as
modern machines must loop over them many times to get non-granular
results.
