Your hard work is truly appreciated. I guess it is now time for me to make a 
small contribution.  I am working to update my documentation on how to build 
the GnomeVFS-less gnome commander on Ubuntu/Mint etc. So far everything seems 
to be straight forward. No need to reference back to the Ubuntu 18.04 repos - I 
thought :-( However, I am getting a an error from ./configure:

checking for GNOMEVFS... no
configure: error: gnome-vfs >= 2.0.0 not found

Let me poke around a little. I will let you know what I find. Perhaps just an 
orphan reference.
