Of cause you're right, I refer to the page above
for online browsing of the 3.4 docs. Additionally
one can easily download the docs in one archive for
offline browsing on my page. Picking the htmls out of
www.gnu.org/software/gnugo/ would be much more tedious.

Gunnar has made some minor revisions to dragon.texi
and Paul added documentation of the emacs major mode
to edit patterns. Apart from this I think the 3.4
doc is identical to the 3.5.4 doc.

Plus the constantly growing variety of GTP commands :-)

I am well aware of the fact(?) that most work on the docs
is done when a stable version is to be released soon.
I guess everybody not involved in GNU Go would understand
that.

Actually I did this mainly for myself - why not share my
labour results with others who can't process *.texi files
on their systems?

There's even the chance I could become productive
contributing to the docs if that is appreciated
 - would be easier for me than writing code :-)
