Nah, just useful from my experience.
I am trying to make this a widget (much like the phrase wheel)
that can be plugged into a frame type thingy. Thus you should
be able to incorporate the tree easily into your design for
GNUmed while at the same time a standalone client is easy to
do (as is seen in my screenshot). Standalone is useful to back
handedly win over dozens of German doctors by supplying a free
document database (they'll have to pay normal
consulting/service fees, though, but that is rather normal).
This way I can sneak Linux/GNUmed into doctor's offices over here
:-))

I, too, have a lurking nastiness in my code. I must still
convert from single to multiple databases. I hope this will
prove rather doable due to it being nicely encapsulated.
