That's one of the reasons I wrote the stub
gnumed/client/wxpython/gmDateTimeInput.py (which for now is
just a wrapper around wxTextCtrl()s). If one uses that for
date fields instead of using other controls we can
transparently add functionality without having to change the
client code.
