Ian wrote at the wiki:
Currently Gnumed has a double plugin framework, the "outer framework" which provides the notebook tabs across the bottom, and the "inner framework" which loads plugins into the "Patient Details" tab, these are represented by small icons across the top, examples are vaccinations, referrals, prescriptions, antenatal.

Does the "outer framework" provide more than the notebook tabs, does it also govern the Photo, Personal Details, Allergy/Warning info and up to three list control elements... is the "outer framework" in fact gmClinicalWindowManager.py

Does the Login code run as a "plug-in" called by gmClinicalWindowManager.py

The developer manual includes a blank section (perhaps a place holder) titled:
4.3. wxpython/gui - "whole page" plugin widgets regarding the notebook
http://savannah.gnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/*checkout*/gnumed/gnumed/gnumed/client/doc/developer-manual/gui-plugins.html

... would the present discussion form part of what should eventually go there?

Before I ask or comment further, to what extent are the following screenshots seriously outdated? Do they need replacing?
