Not much, though EMR penetrance is low in Canada.

Seen them used in nursing homes and a rehab unit ward for head injured patients - helps assure you've got the right person when they are not sure themselves.

In an office, patients would have to know enough to have gotten there (or to be brought there). Still, photos could be of great use to help you recognize when you might be accidentally working on the wrong patient. Also, to recognize the patient you haven't seen in a while (of course, assumes they have not changed that much). Could also help new desk staff. In any event agree post 0.1 (maybe post 1.0).
