I have a guess here. Liz might have a package installed which is called
gtk-qt-engine.

This package applies qt look and feel to gtk programs.It is default on Suse
system. One enable/disable this in kde preferences I think.

Looks like both of you use kde but only liz has the kde theme applied  to
Gnumed which a gtk app.

I have to check if one can turn this off on a per application basis.
