apt-cache show gnumed-common | grep psycopg2:

Depends: python (>= 2.4), python-support (>= 0.90.0), debconf (>= 0.5) | 
debconf-2.0, python-psycopg2 (>= 2.0.7), python-egenix-mxdatetime

This says it needs to be 2.0.7 or newer. Since Testing now
has 2.0.9 this is actually not of much help except for mixed
stable/testing systems.

Andreas will bump that to either >= 2.0.8 or > 2.0.7 in
0.5.1.

Yep, that's why stable isn't sufficient anymore without some
hacking.
