PS: What I forgot to mention....

We should, however, scan through all our publc headers and try to insure 
that we don't depend on any external headers and make any variables with 
externaly defined types opaic.  I'll put that on my todo list for when I 
return ( if no one beats me to it, that is... :-) ).
