Not for me, see attached.

Not for me:

/dev/ttyUSB0 identified as a SiRF at 4800 baud.
dagwood gpsd # killall gpsd
gpsd: no process found
dagwood gpsd # gpsctl -f -s 38400 /dev/ttyUSB0
/dev/ttyUSB0 identified as a SiRF at 4800 baud.
dagwood gpsd # gpsctl -f -s 38400 /dev/ttyUSB0
/dev/ttyUSB0 identified as a SiRF at 4800 baud.
dagwood gpsd # gpsctl -f -s 38400 /dev/ttyUSB0
/dev/ttyUSB0 identified as a SiRF at 4800 baud.
