I think this is due to the JSON monitor_object_t not showing the device
windows. Using my Sure MTK3301 with the PPS wire soldered in, the device
windows disappear exactly for the period during which the PPS bar is the
most recently received sentence, i.e. during which the JSON drives is
active.

Could the JSON monitor object defer to the NMEA one to show the same
device windows?
