Do not think of this as "text", it is just keywords, from the Standard.
Not meant to be read by humans, except by programmers debugging the
protocol.

I would not have coded it this way, but it is years too late to change
just to look prettier.  Plus it would break a lot of clients.

You can ignore the "status_text" and use "status" as the index into your
language dictionary.
