I should have made it clearer. It isn't an arbitrary string to pass to
/bin/sh -c. It's a set of command line options that groff `merges'
(for some definition of merge) into ones in its argv.
The `groff' is only there to make it read a bit clearer. groff would
look for /^\.\\"#! groff/.
