Maybe I'm doing it wrong...my ~/.config/guix/channels.scm

I suppose for now I will use Ludo's suggestion:

The file './pre-inst-env' is marked as an executable but could not be run by

Eventually I'll be able to get it to work!  But I do like the concept!
