Master Thesis:

-Started looking for information about "Gnutella++": hybrid system, where DHTs
and Gnutella-like approaches are merged. Or to be more specific: system, which
has efficient routing algorithm (comparable to DHTs), and in which users are
able to host resources locally (instead of mapping resources away from local
computer into the virtual address space)
-Discussions in p2p-hackers and Gnutella Developer mailing lists
-Small World Phenomenon (Google: "jon kleinberg small-world")
-SWAN: Small World Network. Systems which is based on Small World Phenomenon.

Misc. notes:
-SWAN system seems to be quite promising. Average routing efficiency is O(log n)
and is much slighter than DHTs. Furthermore, SWAN is scalable and *very*
self-organising system
-It appears to be that digital signature/key management is an open issue in p2p
(assumption based on discussions in the forums). Do you know if there are
general publications related to digital signature/key management ?
-Has anyone experience about SDSI or SPKI ?
