Hi Luis

A one day conference would be a very good idea.

I think that we need
to persuade Cedric and the Tryton project that the description and coding of a
"product" is a lot more complicated than the current Tryton schema.

Tryton
should allow a product to be defined as a "pack" (with a pack code - ABC123)
that contains a number of units (with a unit code - DEF456).

It will then be
possible to issue to customers/patients as a whole pack or a number of
individual units (tablets / capsules / mls / reams of paper / etc).

1 pack of
"Amoxicillin 250mg capsule x 21 capsules" (product pack code ABC123)

contains

21 units of "Amoxicillin 250mg capsule" (product unit code DEF456)

There are
some other product definitions which (I think) need "attaching" to a product
which seem to be missing or very difficult to find in Tryton. eg product
maufacturer, supplier1, supplier2, supplier3 etc.

If these "challenges" can be
solved at a Tryton level then GNU Health pack vs unit issues will be much
easier to handle.

Regards

Andrew
