I hadn't been intending to mention this until I had some more bugs
fixed, but since everyone else is talking about cfengine-related package
manegement solutions, let me mention my take on it. It's a little like
the guys who used a MySQL database to manage them, except mine lets you
associate packages with a particular class.
So, basically, you use the web-based management interface to
associate packages with a particular class, and when cfengine runs, it
will ensure that all these packages are installed, and remove any packages
which aren't considered relevant. If you use SQL, you can even associate
particular versions of a package with particular classes (hopefully that
will someday be in the management interface). The whole thing is written
using Perl and PostgreSQL.

It's getting pretty close to ready. When I've done a few more of
the top-priority tasks, I'll release it :).
