Hey guys, you're now having a rather philosophical discussion about file names, upper and lower cases and so on ... but what has this to do with my problem?
Imagine you create with your preferred version of Emacs using your preferred operating system with its preferred file system one day a file called rückerstattung. The next day, you would like to open this file with Emacs again by typing C-x C-f rü<tab> ... either of you would expect Emacs to autocomplete it to rückerstattung, wouldn't you?
Regardless of how the ü is saved in the file system ... when you enter ü twice, don't you expect twice the same results??
This newsgroup is still gnu.emacs.HELP ... not alt.religion.emacs or whatever ...
