I'm glad you did.  People vary in how sensitive they are to feeling
offended, and perhaps you two are good at avoiding getting into a
cycle of offense.

However, it is always possible that some other people on the list felt
bad vibes.  So it's a good thing to try to avoid letting disagreement
carry a sense of offense.
